Why Book With Pixie Hollow Travels / Get to Know Me

Hi, my name is Teresa Myer and I am the owner of Pixie Hollow Travels located in Dover, Delaware. I have been planning my own vacations since 2003. I been visiting Disney since I was the age 5 in 1987. In 2013 I started to think about how I could become a Disney Travel Agent. Planning Disney vacations, staying up to date on Disney Parks, visiting and reading Disney Park forums and blogs, was already an obsession of mine. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to help people to plan their Disney vacations, regardless if it was their first time going, or their 100th time. So I set out to find a Host Agency after doing a lot of research how to get started in the Travel Industry. I ended up joining Academy Travel as a home agent in September 2013 and named my business Teresa Magic Vacations. I then did the Disney College of Knowledge and became certified in Disney Vacations. After struggling for a few weeks on how to even get started with my business I realized I wasn't getting anywhere. There was no help, no support, no questions being answered, nothing from Academy Travel. I knew I had to change things up. I set out once again to find a new and better host agency and came across Gateway To Magic. After reading several good things about them, I decided to give it a try. So in January 2014, I applied to be a home agent for Gateway To Magic and got accepted. New year, fresh start, new agency, which lead to a new name - Pixie Hollow Travels. After joining them, I instantly got a lot of support, all my questions got answered, I became re-certified for Disney Vacations. Within a month, I already started gaining clients. 3 months later, my first clients went on their first Disneyland Vacation and it went on from there.

So now that you know a little about me, how I got started, now I will tell you why you should book with me. For starters, I can't tell you how important it is to book your Disney Vacations with a Certified Disney Travel Agent. Even if you have been going yearly since you were a child, it's always best to book with someone who is an certified agent. Disney Travel Agents, are constant up to date on all Disney Vacations News, Updates, Closures, Openings, Changes, Remodels, and new technology that is being brought to the parks like the Magic Bands and Fast Pass Plus, and of course all special promotions, such as Free Dining or 30% off Rooms.

Most Disney Travel Agents will not charge you a fee of any kind. Some will. It's important to know first hand if your agent will charge you a planning and/or booking fee or even attach fees to airline tickets. When you book your vacations with me, there are no additional fees charged. All my services are FREE. You are not charged for any commission paid to me. Disney pays my host agency, Gateway To Magic, a % of the package cost that comes out of Disney's pocket, and then I receive a % of that. That is how I am paid.

When you book your vacation with me, I treat every vacation with care.

Services that I offer are:

• Book your vacation
• Booking Fast Pass selections for you
• Make Dining Reservations for you
• Create a Daily Itinerary for you
• Stay up to date on any Disney news that may affect your vacation, such as ride closures and notify you
• Promotion monitoring - if a Disney promotion comes available for your travel dates and your trip is already booked with at least the deposit paid, I will get the discount applied to your vacation.

So why should I do all these things for you? For you to relax, potentially save money and not have to worry about anything. Booking Fast Pass selections, you would need to be up and ready to go online, between midnight and 1am eastern time, depending on what time the selections go up for your vacation.

Dining Reservations - you need to be online or on the phone right at 7am eastern time, 180 days in advance (when staying at a Disney Resort) getting your Advanced Dining Reservations, which is a must have, if you are on a Disney Dining Plan. Hold times can also be a long time. Also, if a time is booked solid, as reservations go very quickly, it's always recommended to have a 2nd choice of time for all your Dining reservations incase one gets booked up before reserving your reservation. In the mean time, I will continue to check with Disney for your original time slot to see if any cancellations occur. If so, then I can change the time of your reservation if you like. Making Dining Reservations can be very time consuming. I can also help you choose what restaurants to choose from.

Daily Itinerary - some people love to be spontaneous, some people love to plan every detail. A Daily Itinerary would include what park to visit for the day, your Dining Reservation Times and Confirmation Numbers, Fast Pass Selection Times and Show / Parade Times.

Disney News and Promotion Monitoring - Part of my job is to keep all my client's up to date on anything that maybe happening during their stay. Resort Pools, Rides, Stores, Restaurants and Area Closures, Special Events such as Food & Wine Festival, Concerts, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, etc. Also, promotion monitoring. When Disney announces a new promotion such as Free Dining, or 30% off Resort Rooms, calling Disney to get the promotion added can be extremely time consuming. Hold times can extend to 4 hours or longer and that's including calling right at 7am, Eastern Time. I take the long wait times out from you and can add on promotions for you, as long as your vacation falls within the vacation dates for the deal. I can also add on any special event tickets for you, as part of your package.

As you can see there is a lot involved when booking and planning a Disney Vacation. With constant changes and new openings happening at Disney Parks, long hold times when calling Disney, and more, it's always best to book with a Certified Disney Vacation Planner.
